I could not believe how smooth the transfer went from start to finish! A few issues came up since my old ASUS with the first update of windows 10, was not compatible with my new laptop, but Dennis just kept working his magic informing me through the open chat. who started with Hi Karin, can I have a code for the new laptop please? I had been given all the instructions before we began. The morning of the transfer it was Dennis A. I was reading everything twice and connected with one of the technicians, making sure I got the right transfer program. Just thinking about the last transfer I remembered the problem I had to re reinstall my programs! I started searching the internet and came across the transfer program of Easy ZINSTALL.

They even told me the run commands I needed to use and where to use them, which is something I've rarely done. I also had to contact customer service for an issue that was my fault and they were quick to respond and walked me through the steps I needed to fix my issue. I can't recommend this program and more highly. I can't tell you how relieved I was when that all happened, and how easy it really was. All my files, folders, bookmarks, contacts and passwords were now available to me. All it took was a couple of clicks and a few hours and my old laptop was now on my new one. I decided to bite the bullet and pay for Zinstall. Did I mention that I'm only a week away from my 68th birthday, so youth is not on my side.

I was scared to death to try this, figuring that I would mess things up. I knew that I could drag and drop each one, but that would have taken weeks if not months. I have hundreds if not thousands of files and folders on my old laptop that I really wanted to keep and move to my new one.

Old one was running Windows 7 Pro and was 8 or 9 years old.

My old laptop was starting to show the blue screen of death, so I purchased a new laptop. Old laptop was dying and needed to transfer a lot. I would recommend this software, but to get the most out of it you really need to have more than a basic knowledge of computers.

I used it to move Windows 8.1 > Windows 10 on a new machine. All in all, in my opinion, this was money well spent it does the lion's share so saves a lot of time, and it retains the look and feel of the original machine. Computers are personalized, the look, feel and have different software packages depending on users so there were a few little niggles at the end, mainly the Microsoft packages such as MS Office or Visual studio which either required reinstalling or just reactivating with the product keys. The software itself is very easy to use and it does do 95% of the job when switching machines, as we all know switching machines with a lot of software can take hours and hours and this software certainly cut this down immensely. I looked at all the reviews before buying this software, and I noticed there was no middle ground it either said great or rubbish, so I decided to give it a go, and here are my observations.
